Sewer & Drains

affordable sewer and drains services
Nobody likes to think about what happens when sewer drains go bad, until the day they do and then you'll know all about it. Luckily for you Stockton Plumbing Pros are on hand to trouble spot, clean, and repair the drains and sewage systems of your property. We don't just fix the leaks; we can also replace systems and recommend modifications to update your sewer and drains to cope with the modern workload they are likely to have to deal with.

Sewer Drain Symptoms
Sewer drain clogs can quickly turn into a plumbing emergency. Simply put if the piping access to your sewer system becomes blocked it leaves that waste water with nowhere to go except back up the way it came.  If you're connected to city sewerage you have a number of drains in your home but they usually all lead to a single sewer drain underground that runs from the front of your house to the point where it empties into the municipal system.  Unless it blocks. In which case it doesn't empty into the municipal sewers and you'll start to see slow clearing of multiple sinks and drains around your home. If you notice that, or if you hear sounds from pipes and especially gurgles from your drains in tubs, sinks, and showers, the chances are that there is a problem in the system already. In particular look out for problems when the pipe is working at capacity – run the taps in a sink as you empty the bath or the washing machine drains. That's when you'll notice if there is gurgling or slowness to drain. The other key clue is the smell. If your home starts to smell like you know what it's probably because you know what isn't draining to the sewerage.  Time to call us.

Sewer Drain Cleaning
The sewer drain is a four inch, and possibly a three inch pipe that runs underground to the city sewerage system. The most popular way of clearing it is to use a drain snake which is an augur attached to a long cable that we send into the sewer drain until it finds the blockage and we then work the augur to clear that blockage and get the flow moving. You'll see plenty of sites saying you can work a drain snake yourself and sometimes you can but bear in mind that if there's back flow and water pressure involved this could be a dangerous, as well as a very messy job. Best leave it to the experts.

Septic Tank Plumbing
If you're not connected to the municipal sewage and are having blockage symptoms then it's time to check your septic tank plumbing. Your septic tank installations should be checked at least every three years regardless of whether there is a problem or not and we are happy to inspect your system.  We can also come and clean out the pipes of your tank if you suspect there is blockage.

Pumping Septic Tanks
If you've got a fully functioning septic tank system but it's the type that needs pumping then you'll be happy to hear that we can do that for you too.
