Faucets & Fixtures
Bathrooms, vanity units, and kitchens all use faucets and if you thought there was just one type of faucet to choose from then you're in for a great surprise as we have a wide variety of different types in different materials and different designs that will be perfect for your kitchen or bathroom remodel. Of course there's more to faucets and fixtures than just looks because these things have a job to do and we can help with your choice based on that too, but for a start let's just consider the kind of choices you have. We can install, maintain, and repair any and all type of faucet.
Center Sets and Spread Fits
Center set faucets consist of a single unit with the mixer pipe in the middle and a hot and a cold control on each side. They can be mounted into a vanity unit or they can be wall mounted and have a classic look to them. Spread fits have the three elements entirely separate with the pipe in the middle and separate controls fixed away to each side. Properly done this gives a feel of elegance and luxury and can be achieved with brass or gleaming silver taps for an upmarket feel in the bathroom.
A Single handle faucet has just the one tap, usually mounted on top of the water spout. Mixing hot and cold water is done by angling that one tap to the left or right and as well as giving a modern feel to your plumbing these are popular for kitchen sinks where the user may have only one hand free to operate the faucet. Single handle faucets are often combined with sprinkle faucets where the spout isn't a cylindrical pipe but rather a rectangular shape which results in a flow more like a mini waterfall. You've probably seen these in fancy restaurants because they have a unique look to them but we can bring that to your home.
Kitchen Faucets – Pull Downs and Pull Outs
You want your kitchen faucet to look good but it also has to do a very different task compared to those bathroom faucets so it's important to choose the right tool for job. Pull down faucets consist of a spray wand that points straight down into the sink so it can hose down those dirty dishes. Pull out faucets give more choice for positioning because they can be pulled straight towards you and modern pull out faucets often have a button to control the strength of water flow.
Commercial Style and Separate Spray
Commercial styles can feature multiple taps and spray nozzle arrangements including a hanging spray that points downwards and can be set up for washing cookware or salads. Separate sprays are typically on a flexible pull out pipe that retracts out of sight next to the faucet when not in use. If you are looking for a kitchen set up to rival the top restaurants then talk to us and we can make it happen.
